Week 2 in the MTC

This week has been good. I have felt the spirit so strongly many times this week. Sunday we had a devotional and our MTC president and his wife spoke.  Honestly I forgot what they said, because right after we watched Elder Bednar's talk "The Character of Christ". I was so humbled after that talk. I really have nothing to complain about ever. Elder Bednar is such a powerful speaker.  I wish all of you could watch it because it is so good. Sadly they keep it just for the MTC. I also wish that everyone could spend a week here. The spirit is just so strong always.

On Monday I had my first lesson with L_____. He thinks very logically so it was hard for me to get to him at first. I was so happy when we taught him again on Wednesday was able to help him understand in his way. I had asked him the question,  "have you ever felt anything while reading the scriptures?" He essentially answered by explaining that or brain sends us certain signals in our body when we read something familiar to us. I then responded by asking him this. Don't you think God understands us more than anyone else? Doesn't it just make sense that he would use those feelings to communicate with us? I am just paraphrasing, but the spirit was there and I could feel him gain that testimony of God.

Tuesday night we had a devotional and me and my district were in the choir. Our choir teacher, not only taught the song we were to sing but also taught other missionary lessons. We sang "Be Still my Soul. There has been no better song I feel for this week. Knowing that Christ loves us all so much can bring peace to us. In a world that grows more and more wicked, we can find peace that Jesus Christ will lead us and allow us to be blessed, until we meet again with him some day.

On a side note, the MTC really is an inspired building. They have all sorts of "ponder" rooms were you can do personal study. Some of them have these super sweet murals and speakers that play instrumental hymns. There's this one ponder room that I really like on the fifth floor. When ever you look up you see the temple in all of its glory. The classrooms are also awesome. They have us sit in a half circle and it allows us to see everyone all the time. Since much of the lessons are more like discussions, it makes it much more personal to look at someone when they speak.

On Thursday we had one of the best gospel discussions I have had in my life. The spirit was so strong it descended down to us and we were able to think of things that we would have never been able to otherwise. With the spirit and anything you do becomes 400% better.

Friday we were playing basketball during exercise time and my companion accidentally elbowed me right in the eye/nose. Luckily it didn't hurt to bad. Every time something went wrong after that, I would just joke that it was because he abused me in basketball. Elder Casey actually reminds me a lot of Jaren. His sense of humor bounces well with mine, and his laugh eerily sounds like Jaren too. I'm so blessed to have been placed in this district at this time. It's all because the Lord's timings right.

I love you all so much and I appreciate all your support!
